![]() ![]() He’s cocky, has nervous ticks, a twisted sense of humor, good looking face and cares about his friends. Have I mentioned before how much I love the bad guy who is secretly a good guy but doesn’t want his exterior reputation ruined? That about sums him up. Malachiaz was my second favorite character. You know when you see quizzes online that ask what magical ability you’d choose if you could only choose one? Well, I think I might want Nadya’s ability to channel so many different gods. I think how she channeled the gods was very cool to read. You don’t see religious characters in YA Fantasy very often. I really appreciate how dedicated to the gods she was, even when Malachiaz questioned her and she questioned herself. ![]() ![]() I think Nadya was my favorite character, but I loved her relationship with every single character, no matter how small and inconsequential. I really appreciate how Emily Duncan wove in the seeds for book #2 so seamlessly. The places the characters went where beautifully described, and the kissing scenes were excellent. They were so fleshed out it was impressive. I really loved the characters in this book. ![]()
